what surprised me the most was how attached people are to that guy

like it's not even the original voice, it's the dub. voice acting requires skill of course, but he had no influence on the creation of fma. whether or not he's a scumbag reflects zero on it. why so defensive??


maybe it's because back in my day we never had voice actors as guests at cons or smth so i just don't get it, idk.

Dude does have his own fan club, which is kinda weird, but I could see how people who idolized him hard would defend him against accusations. My friend was a huge fan of him back in the day and loved him until she saw him being an asshole to staff at a con. Even after seeing his behavior, she still had a hard time accepting the fact that the same guy who voiced her husbandos was such an ass to volunteers who were a little older than her.

He only had fangirls before, but now with the allegations (which have been dogging him for literal decades, like I heard stories back in the days of the first FMA anime) he's attracted frothing gamergate douchebags who are defending him to the death and harassing all the female VA's he's worked with.

He's definitely a douche and I'm still pissed he got cast as Matt in the Digimon Tri dub. I've had a strong dislike for him since the first FMA anime came out and all those stories about him being a creeper started floating around.
