One time I was wearing my hair in pigtails, and I was doing some baking, and I got a pigtail caught in the stand mixer? That was both ridiculous and painful.

Naw, I just had to move really quick to turn it off and then... well, I got most of my hair back? It was distinctly unfun, but I didn't die! I haven't worn pigtails since, though.

Ooh, that's a relief - I was imagining it pulling you in and getting seriously too gnarly to untangle but too much to pull out... but hey, maybe ring back the pigtails, just don't opperate heavy machinery in 'em.

Ahh.
This reminds me of the time when I first started working in a metal fabrication plant. I was using a wire drill brush to clean up a couple parts when my shirt got caught up in the brush. It was both lucky/unfortunate since my shirt only got caught up because it was so baggy and I wasn't hurt for the same reason... (my bra was on full display to put it lightly)
I did one of those embarrassed look arounds, while simultaneously unraveling my shirt from the drill... No one seemed to notice, so + 1 for my luck that day.
