Re: Democratic Nominees

Speaking as a non-USian (so take this with a grain of salt), but no matter how much you guys would like to think otherwise (with the options for third-party votes), it is VERY much a two party system.

You can hope all you want that your third-party vote means something, but in my experience, it's about as useful as voting for the Green Party in Canada and actually thinking they'll get into power.

I probably should have clarified that I wasn't the original anon and I'll vote democratic when the election rolls around so I get what you're saying.

However, everyone here who is rushing to snarkily tell a third party voter that they shouldn't vote at all is a terrible strategy to get them to vote the way you wish they would. The online left has serious issues with dealing with moderates and the disenfranchised. I commented in hopes to point that out.

Fair enough, I do think there is a great deal of alienation that happens and that leads to people throwing away their votes (whether by not voting or voting third party).

The moderate Democratic Party establishment also has some pretty severe issues with yelling at left voters for being 'disloyal' so I'm not quite sure what to tell you.

NAYRT:

I agree 100%. According to the online left, there aren't actually "moderates." There are only good people and Republicans. That mentality doesn't help anyone.
