Exactly. A 3rd party voter might have been someone who otherwise would have voted left... or it might have bee someone who would have voted right.

Acting like "Well the default is voting for my guy, so anyone who isn't voting for my guy is voting for the other guy" is just arrogance. A problem that - for all trumps noted ego - the left has in spades
