Re: ridiculous accident thread

(Anonymous) 2019-02-20 04:59 am (UTC)(link)
A friend I had some years back was extraordinarily accident prone. The best story I ever got feom her was this:
One day she was sitting on the couch with one leg tucked under herself. When she stood up, she found she'd lost feeling in that leg. As a result, she put her foot down wrong and sprained her ankle quite badly.
Because she was narcoleptic, she got put in a wheelchair until it mended, rather than just crutches.
(Here comes the really ridiculous part)
One day she was getting a lift home with a car-owning friend, and was wheeling through the car park (which was set on a noticeable slope), when she had a *wonderful* idea: instead of inching down to her friend's car, she'd just let go and roll down! Let gravity do the work!

Of course, she immediately lost control, went downhill much faster than predicted, and slammed into a parked car.
She wasn't too badly hurt, just bruised somewhat, but I don't think anyone will ever let her live that one down.
