Occasionally, if things are a little bland. Helps that I'm naturally contrarian, so all I need to do is embellish what I already think.

I try to aim for topics, not people though. Going after people gets old and makes this place less welcoming.

I don't intentionally troll, but I have unpopular opinions and admittedly too much emotional investment in them, which often gets me accused of being a troll.

I don't know what you've said specifically, but it always bugs me when unpopular opinions are always assumed to be trollish. Some people just have different opinions.

I don't troll, but sometimes I'm contrarian or play devil's advocate, but usually only when the comments come across as really uptight and self-righteous.

Yeah, that's trolling. People who do it like to dress it up with words like "contrarian" or "devil's advocate" and act as though a devil's advocate is something the discussion really, really needs (hint: nope) but in the end, it's the same. I do it occasionally myself, but I don't pretend it's something else.

Almost never intentionally, but sometimes I don't make it clear enough when I'm being sarcastic, and once here I was accused of being a troll over some comment where I still can't figure out what the person thought was trollish about it.

Here? Never. In general? Pretty much never, actually. It's not good for my anxiety.

Like, deliberately try to get a rise out of people? Never. Post something and get in a stupid argument chain where no one’s gonna change their minds? Sometimes, but not that often. I jump into already ongoing arguments on FS sometimes to defend one side or the other, but because I agree with that side, not to stir shit.

I wouldn't say I troll, but I can probably get more forceful and abrasive than is necessary. And sometimes the blood pressure gets high enough that I do say something that's intended to provoke.

I hardly ever start a trolling these days. No, really. Hardly ever. Now sure, when I feel someone is being a bit of a rat cunt to me, I can play up to them a little. That's about it.
