As someone who seems to be almost exclusively attracted to those one-or-two-person fandoms, like... bless you for commenting on stuff for microfandoms, that can make a person's day. There's no shame in not wanting to get invested when you know you won't care about the fandom as much and there's not something else you know you can talk about with people! A comment is a complete social interaction.
