I've run into goth girls at parties pretending to be bi to pick up guys... but I don't think I've ever met anyone at a convention or online pretending to be a lesbian to be cool. Especially since this is a culture where it's not particularly edgy. Then again I have seen a lot of cosplayers doing the whole posing thing to get attention... *shrugs*

Whenever I see one of these secrets I always wonder if it's someone I know. It's highly unlikely especially in this case, since I know very few people raised in Catholic homes. I can honestly say though, if you are someone I know, I'd take it in stride.
