I loved her as a kid. Since becoming a lawyer, though, and paying more attention, I only like her about half of the time. The other half I can't stand her.

when she would sentence a criminal (this was before she became famous) and said criminal would threaten her and want to know her name because of wanting to get some sort of revenge, she would give the names of other judges and rationalize endangering them on the grounds that the other judges weren't married and/or didn't have kids. Fuck that.

Oh wow. Did not know that. That's fucked up. I just know that she has no understanding of poverty, and that given a good proportion of the people who appear on her show are poor, she treats them like crap in ways they don't deserve. Also, she thinks all states are New York and has no understanding of the fact that laws vary by state.

I highly recommend Judge Rinder, even if he is British. He gets it right.
