ayrt - honestly I bought it because the controversy piqued my interest but it turned out I was in the mood for some horror and didn't even know it. I was genuinely enjoying the game but I'd still be outraged if I wasn't into it. And I'm terrified by the precedent this is setting.

From what I read, it looked like the studio pulled it down themselves? So it's still an outrageous and terrible precedent but I'm not really sure what Steam or the studio could really have done differently. Just a shitty, shitty situation.
