Re: What scares you?

Just last night I was trying to fall asleep when all of a sudden I was wide awake with an extreme amount of fear that something was looming behind and watching me. I was legit so terrified I was considering running out of the room to go sleep on the couch/in my sisters room. The only thing that kept me from actually doing it was the fact I would need to turn around to do it. So for a solid ten minutes I just lay there as still as possible shifting my eyes around trying to convince myself to just turn around. Eventually I did, but even though nothing was there (obviously) the feeling didn't go away, and it took me another ten just to calm myself down.

This has never really happened to me before, so I'm still really weirded out by it. I feel like an idiot now, but I was seriously scared at the time. (this probably isn't what you wanted but im sleep deprived and its the best i got right now, sorry)

Don't feel like an idiot! I think this is super common. I've gotten it a few times, it's really easy once you get one creepy thought, for your mind to run with it until it escalates like that. Being sleep deprived certainly doesn't help. But also, this is exactly the kind of stuff I was looking for, ha. Hope you feel better now and you're safe!
