I mean.. yes, on one hand I agree. But on the other hand, I'm not sure how much I'd like American/western companies taking on non-western fantasy stuff. It tends to backfire spectacularly in the few cases they try. And I'm not usually one to cry "cultural appropriation" at things but when western authors try to do non-western things, it sometimes gets pretty cringey and you can bet they'd get shit for cultural appropriation, and not entirely undeservedly either.
