If they wanted to have a subversion they shouldn't write those male characters as basically chicks with dicks. They already feminise male characters beyond recognition, might as well just write women in the first place since there's barely a difference anymore anyway.

...do you not understand how kinks work? They literally said the appeal is subversion and putting men in a female (and therefore, submissive) role. There's nothing appealing about seeing women be submissive to these kind of people.

NAYRT

...and yet you still need a dominant male involved. Wow, such subversion. /rollseyes

But there is a difference because it's a fucking man in that position.

Eh. I understand your frustration with OOCness, but saying they might as well be chicks is ignoring every other factor and reducing gender to a set of behaviors which doesn't really work for your argument

Like, no one looks at butch/femme femslash and goes lolol they might as well write a man, the butch one is so manly! That's like, directly not the point anyone interested in this genre is going for

I'm as annoyed by woobie OOC feminization as the next fan, but 'might as well write women' has got to be you missing the point on purpose

*cringes*

An "effeminate" man is not the same as a woman, dude. You really need to think this argument through a little better.
