I fell hard for S1 of Dirk Gently. Sadly, S2 was an utter mess, IMO. But S1 still makes me pine for what could have been.

At first I found most of the characters (and especially Dirk) kind of annoying, but somehow by the end of S1 I loved them all (and especially Dirk).

It also took me like 2 seconds to ship Farah/Amanda so that's fun too, though I suspect I'll find very little fic-wise for them(already had a look for gifsets with very disappointing results).

They were actually a pretty popular secondary pairing for the show. However, the fandom just never really got big enough for there to be all that much to see, for any pairing. Even Dirk/Todd, which has the most, doesn't have all that much.

It's definitely strange but in a really fun way, and I find most of the characters likeable in their own ways. Dirk is cute in his own way so I don't mind him, but the Farah+Amanda and Bart+Ken dynamics are my favourites hands-down, so much fun. Oh and Todd+Amanda have such a sweet relationship even though it's gone tits-up towards the end of s1, :(. I'll have to see if they manage to repair that in s2, I hope so, they were so good.

Ah, I may be pleasantly surprised with the fic then. I'm waiting until I watch it all before I go looking, but I was trying to find some Amanda/Farah gifs or even just Farah on her own and was coming up short. But I might have not typed in the right keywords since idk what tags people used for her or them.

It was just a really small fandom that never really got off the ground, I think. I definitely remember Farah/Amanda being in the background of a few fics I read, and I definitely remember people talking about shipping them...but beyond that I don't really know.

Yeah, I really liked Todd and Amanda's dynamic. It felt like a really believable sibling dynamic to me - more believable that a lot of shows manage. And S1 Bart and Ken are fantastic. Bart is such a bizarro character and it's great.
