... It's not about sparkledesutears. What's the matter with you? Why do you expect people to have rational responses to Trauma? The OP is obviously talking about her emotional response to noncon fic. It isn't hard to grasp, and nowhere did she say that no other reaction is valid.

she just passed judgment on people who happen to like what she doesn't, and even went so far as to wish rape on them so they could 'know what it's like and get some sensitivity', because, yanno, that would totally work.

how, and more importantly why, should I show that any sympathy?

Of course it wouldn't work. And no, she didn't wish rape on anyone. She said "Some small part of me sometimes wishes they'd experience this so they know what I lived through." That's really rather harmless.

I've detailed how in several other posts. Why? Because it's the decent thing to do.

I don't know. Because I feel obligated to at least try to explain and to do what I can to keep the OP from getting dogpiled for being hurt. Maybe it'll amount to nothing, maybe some people will start to see where the OP is coming from, and maybe the OP will be able to more easily ignore all the people responding with "Shut up, no one cares." Either way, it lets me practice being in the fray and being calm (and God knows I need the practice), so it's win/win.

It's a knee-jerk reaction, purely emotional, NOTHING rational about it, I'm well aware. I don't mean it. Like I said, I would never REALLY wish it on anyone.

I don't expect YOU to care, you don't know me. And I know for a fact that none of my friends who write non-con and talk to me about it have been raped. I would never presume to know how ANYONE who has ever been raped would react.

See, I think your friends are completely out of line. That's not something you should do to a friend. Point blank.

It -is- a really common fantasy, as has been pointed out.

But there's no reason they should subject you to something that triggers a traumatic event memory for their kicks. That's just being remarkably insensitive.

The rest of the internet is the rest of the internet. And people have varying degrees of civility. But acting as friends they should be better than that.

And the other anonymous is just being a total jerkoff.

Your friends being pricks is one thing, but women who have a dominance or non-con fetish can't help it.

I know that I first noticed my fetish when I was less than six years old. No choice at all, and I don't find "vanilla" sex even remotely interesting. Not do I "glorify" rape. (Also, notice how many use the word "non-con" to separate the fetish from the crime) I can understand you being pissed at people who don't understand your feelings, but staying out of those environments is probably the best way. Also, what do think about men who have rape fantasies? How come you said "women" and not "people"?
