I don't think anybody should be attacked for liking/reading/writing rape fantasies. I just also don't think that disgust at the subject matter is an unreasonable response.

You're right, it's very difficult to express that opinion without getting on people's toes. Perhaps, then, you either shouldn't, or be prepared for wank. You wouldn't go to a gaming forum and post about how violent video games glorify violence and how bad that is, and expect no reaction or a calm one. Same princible applies.

Yes. Fortunately, there's still that second option: Prepare for wank. When you express an opinion that is almost impossible to express without coming off as accusatory, I find it baffling that one would then look around and wonder what, exactly, people are getting all defensive about.

The 'one' I was referring to is you, not the OP. You ask why people react badly whenever the topic comes up, it's because people get defensive when people start talking at/about them in an accusatory tone. You say that it's hard to express that opinion without sounding accusatory, to which I reply that in that case you should either keep quiet about it, or, if you do feel the need to express it, not be surprised when people take it poorly.
