They write this fic that "glorifies" rape, but how is that worse or even equal to wishing for them to know first hand what rape is like?

As someone who has also been sexually assaulted, I can only say this - Shame on you.

I think THIS is exactly what a lot of the defenders of the op are kind of missing. Most of the negativity heaped on this secret is because of that one line about wishing it to teach sensitivity instead of, oh, I don't know, maybe using her own issues with it to educate people?

paperclipchains was doing a very good job with remaining calm and rational in explaining why people should be more sensitive. Too bad the op couldn't take a few lessons from her.

Reading comprehension FAIL. Notice the beginning. I would never wish rape on someone and MEAN it. When I have those thoughts, they are fleeting. They are a product of a small part of me, deep down inside, that is still hurting. It's an emotional, irrational reaction.

I read and comprehended what you said. In fact, I quoted part of it.

You said that you feel guilty about these thoughts but then, these people don't feel guilty about what they are writing. How is what they are writing comparable to those feelings, which you say in the secret that you only feel guilty about until you think of what they write?

I agree with your general feelings. I'm just trying to get you to write a better argument.

You seem to be missing the part where I say where this is a fleeting, emotionally response. And of course I feel guilty about it, I have a fucking conscience. I just also happen to wonder "Does this person who calls themself my friend feel at all guilty for writing something so exploitative and then nagging me to read it?"

You want a clearer argument? Write it yourself. Have fun trying to explain your position to the average F!S anon commenter. (the ones that have been saying "LOL get over it!")

It sounds like some of your friends are just assholes. "OMG I ROTE A NONCON FICCIE, I NO U HATE THOSE BUT RAED IT PLZ!!!" ? Yeah, that sounds like someone who should learn some "fucking sensitivity" as you put it.

The part where people stop agreeing with you is where you assume all rapefic writers everywhere are the same kind of asshole, and wish they would all stop liking that sort of thing. That gets you the knee-jerk response of "no, I will *not* change my kinks for your sake, random Internet person".

I have no need to explain my position to the average F!S anon commenter. I personally don't care if they respect or understand my feelings. The ones who have been saying "LOL get over it" are assholes.... I'm not personally concerned with what they think and feel.
