(Anonymous) 2008-09-11 09:33 pm (UTC)(link)You never know who's been raped or sexually assaulted and likes this kind of fiction anyway. I do, because the two are separate in my head and the situation that happened to me was highly specific and not something anyone would write about as fic.
You have a right to your feelings, but people have a right to their kinks, and even experiencing one kind of trauma doesn't mean that your friends would automatically rule out writing a similar kind. If you hate it that much, the best thing to do is just tell your friends that it hits your twitch buttons and you'd rather not hear about it. And don't read their fic. It's your responsibility to keep yourself away from things that upset you, not anyone else's.
