Sounds pretty clear to me.

As for the "sympathy" comment, I read it as a hypothetical: if those people were ever to be raped, then they might learn some sympathy. Not "OMG I wish they would be raped so they know how I feel!"

So yes, check those reading comprehension skills again, kthx.

Of course you can feel guilty for it. She reads somebody saying "Rape is hot" and has the nasty thought of "you probably wouldn't if you'd actually been raped."

It's not a real wish for anybody to get hurt. It's not true (not all rape survivors are turned off by rape fantasies). It's a personal, irrational, angry emotional reaction to somebody else's casual sex fantasy. She feels guilty about it, maybe, because it is a totally nasty thing to think. Not being a monster, she gets that. Seems more sensitive than refusing to not talk about a particular subject in front of your friend because it really upsets her.

Yeah, it's pretty much foolproof. Like prefacing your argument with "I am not a racist" or "I am not homophobic" makes it immediately not racist or homophobic.
