104. While I'm sorry about your experiences, I think you're being way too harsh about things. There are psychological studies that show rape as a very popular fantasy among women, even to the point that some women pay to be "raped", as crazy as that shit sounds. I know most fangirls understand the seriousness of the actual act and how it can affect a person's psyche. But it can't stop from being a popular fantasy though, but don't think people don't know the seriousness of it though nor undermine it.

I wish people knew that although CLAMP did the initial designs, meaning they get retooled by Takahiro Kimura (of GaiGaoGar, Godannar and Gun x Sword fame) and his style and with what he tried to imitate with CLAMP created some weird anatomy for the females (basically by trying to add too much T and A). But I agree, having a lot of death or killing off characters is not what a good show make. I can name a few shows like that. Nor it mkes it DEEP either.

131. As a person who would hit Alan Rickman with a fin of an angry cod, you're damn right it's normal. Why limit yourself? Male attractiveness isn't limited to age.

135. It's okay. Personally, I do like Lavi/Lenalee more than this couple and prefer her and Allen's relationship to be platonic, you're not wrong for liking them. Ship as much as you want, don't care what others say.

I think Takahiro Kimura's own character designs are great, but combined with the CLAMP faces it just looks totally wrong.

Considering a vast number of those women are the SAME women who have experienced that "most disgustingly offensive, degrading, scarring and traumatizing" act, you might want to get some perspective and realize you don't get to decide what makes people screwed up. No one named you judge of what constitutes a healthy fantasy.

It's true, though. And rape fantasies aren't always about rape, is what I think you're missing here... I guess that sounds strange, but what I'm trying to say is that a lot of it has to do with control from what I've seen. I'm sure that traditional ideas about female sexuality (i.e. "good girls don't want sex") also plays into it. Someone on another thread described rape fantasies as "eroticized helplessness."

I don't know. I think it's probably best to take it for granted that these people aren't actually fantasizing about the most disgusting, offensive, degrading, scarring and traumatizing acts that one person can do to another, and are instead sort of inventing their own somewhat sanitized version for whatever reason.

I think you're right on the whole 'sanitized version' thing.

I remember my Psych prof once told us that rape isn't just about sex at all, that's a big part of it, but at the core of the act, its about absolute control and power over another person--having complete power over a person, utterly and brutally dominating that person and ripping away the person's right to have a say on what happens on their own body.

This sort of thing doesn't truly happen if you're 'fantasizing rape'. At the core of the whole thing, the 'rape' happens because the one at the receiving end of of it wants it and is the one truly in control of the situation. When you truly mean to say STOP, the whole thing stops. In an actual rape, you have no control and is utterly under the mercy of your rapist.
