They changed the plot quite a bit by the end

Nayrt but yeah I believe in the comics Vanya gets shot in the head by her siblings when she goes all ragey.

She lived through it, but the plot between Apocalypse Suite and the netflix show diverges pretty early on. There's barely reference to Five's time travel exploits until the second limited series. AS of the end of season 1, the show is basically in its own canon.

Yeah I didn't get a chance to read the whole comic series when it came out, I got poor lol.

As a reader (of things in general), I don't usually mind when tv/movies diverge from the source as long as it has a reason and the changes make sense.

Oh yeah, I adore the changes they made for the show! I think they make sense and were better for the format.
