I suppose it might look morbid, but true crime is an interest of mine, too. I enjoy hearing about the investigation of a mystery, the forensic aspect of solving it, and I especially appreciate it when the criminal is caught at the end. The shock value is part of what makes it so interesting because it makes me think about human behavior and the psychological aspect of why people do bad things. I don't think there's anything wrong or particularly unusual about that.
