I can't stand fried, poached or soft-boiled eggs (although I like them scrambled, hard-boiled, especially deviled, in omelets, etc.)

Worst is oatmeal. Oatmeal just has an awful texture.

Best is a fresh chocolate chip cookie with a crisp outside and warm inside.

Squash. *shudder* I've come to enjoy (or at least tolerate) almost all of my 'ew' foods from childhood, but the texture of squash... I just can't.

Chocolate pudding is probably my fave. Super silky chocolate pudding.

Before you do that, give the eggplant to me so that I can make baba ghannoush.

Eggplant is gross, but that is about taste to me.

Least favorite... Squid or eel. Squid's too rubbery, and I don't like the feeling of biting little bones.

Don't have a favorite, but I enjoy several. Crispy potato or tortilla chips with a nice burst of flavor on one side. I also like eating chocolates or chocolate candy with a thin covering but a firm filling inside. I'm weird and like to peel off the shell part before eating the inside.

I hate okra because it's slimy inside. And yeah, I know about fried okra and while it's the least terrible way to eat okra, I'd rather eat something deep fried that ISN'T awful to begin with.

I dislike beans and legumes that have a grainy texture, so no lima beans, not fond of peas, kidney beans, etc. Black, pinto and cannellini beans are fine.

Idk what it’s called... konjac gelatin? Konnyaku? Just chewing it makes me want to barf.

PEARS. Why are they grainy? Also shrimp - I don’t like the way those veins pop.

As for textures I like, mango is good? Also the tops of broccoli.

I am very picky about textures and there are so many I don't like. I dont care for "slimy" (not exactly the right word) textures like mushrooms amd cooked onions. I also dont like mealy textures like most cooked beans. And rubbery omes like squid.

IDK that I have a favorite food because of texture. I do like crunchy things. So like I like my vegetables not quite fully cooked so they still have a firmness to them. And I like crispy chips, like tortilla chips.

Meat, mushrooms, basically anything that has a meaty, rubbery texture.

aubergine aka eggplant. it just feels weird. i can only eat it if a skilled cook has well hidden it.

Apples, kiwis, calamari.

I've ranted about this here before, but celery. You can't be stringy AND crunchy AND watery. Pick one texture!

I also dislike tomatoes based on texture. They're so slimy. I can suck it up and eat them on sandwiches or salads, though, because I know how nutritious they're supposed to be for you.

Probably not my least favorite since I only tried it once but I hate the texture of quinoa. Favorite... ice cream maybe? Yeah I'm not as healthy as I should be.

Least favorite is unmelted butter. I know that's weird.

Least favorite, far and away, is beans. They're like silty toothpaste. Even the "crunchier" ones, once you chew them up, have that weird grittiness to them. Ugghhhh. :P

Favorite... hm. Sponge cake, maybe? Soft, springy things. Oh, mochi too!

Cooked carrots. Cooked celery. The texture and the taste combined is gross. I love raw celery. I'll eat raw carrots. But cooked? Get that nasty thing away from me.

Raw apples are absolutely disgusting to me. They're slightly more tolerable if peeled, but even then, you just chew and chew and it's nothing but grit and meal, yuck.

I do like them baked. And I don't mind the texture of pears as much, maybe because they're softer.

Canned salmon with the bones in. I cannot stand the texture of even a single tiny bone in my salmon. *shudders*

Also, extremely under-cooked eggs. I'm fine with runny yolk, but if they're closer to raw than cooked, get them away from me.

I can't really think of a favorite texture, but I'll second someone else's answer about freshly baked chocolate chip cookies.

Also, a particular type of white roll, with butter on it. I don't know what the name of the type of roll is, but it's a really moist, soft white roll that's so good you could eat it plain and it would still be enjoyable.

There are a lot of food textures I absolutely cannot stand, but I'd say the worst would have to be either green beans or pickles. It doesn't help that they both taste and smell terrible to me as well.

As for my favorite textures, real mashed potatoes, chocolate mousse and fresh pears are tough to beat.

Least, Peas: You have these nasty tough skins combined with a foul-tasting pulp. Boiled peanuts are a close second.

Best, Chocolate covered corn flakes: Chocolate with better crisp than crisped rice.
