I found out this week that the judge for my disability hearing ruled in my favor and, after a few more details are ironed out, I'll start receiving assistance and Medicaid. This is something I've been fighting for since 2010 and I can still barely believe it's actually happening. It's been such a frustrating, painful and humiliating journey, and I'm beyond relieved that it's almost over and I'll finally have a steady income.
