Had to check a bunch of orders to make sure they were entered correctly. Took about 3 boring hours. My throat hurts but I am hoping it won't get worse because I have to go to the dentist tomorrow. :(

Work. Bought my airline tickets to Oaxaca. Spanish class. Now I'm in bed with an ice pack, watching some Doctor Who series 3.

Went to work. Had to conduct an interview for a position that just opened up, but only one of the six people I will be interviewing is someone I think can handle the position, so I worry someone else will get it and I will be stuck with someone useless.

Nothing much, really. I slept in late (I got up after 9:30, that hardly ever happens), looked at the internet awhile, got coffee, and smoked a little weed. Today is the first of three days off work in a row for me so it was nice to have a day to do absolutely nothing. Tomorrow will be different as I have things to do, lol.

My apartment looked terrible, so my plan was to straighten the apartment and do the dishes. But while I was taking out the recycling I saw a notice that they're inspecting the apartments tomorrow so now I'm in the middle of a thorough cleaning. I shouldn't have let it go this long anyway.

Struggled to fall asleep. Struggled to wake up. Walked to work in the freezing cold. Worked. Walked to the bus in the freezing cold. Went to an appointment. Went to another appointment. Walked back to the bus in the freezing cold. Grocery shopped. Waited in the freezing cold to get back on the bus. Walked home in the freezing cold carrying a large bag of groceries. Ate. Watched the last two days of the Jeopardy tournament. Started listening to the Les Misérables soundtrack (if you saw the tournament, you know why). Wrote this post.

Went to work, burned the gyoza I had brought for lunch, and almost got in a car accident because some dingus thought he could switch lanes without checking his blind spot.

Today I slept, coughed, hurt, used my dachshund Sokka as a teddy bear/heating pad hybrid and slept and coughed and hurt some more. Also had a lot of hot flashes.

Got out of work early, so I went to Science Fiction Bokhandeln and bought the 1997 Berserk box set. I had my eye on the Golden Age Arc trilogy, too, but couldn't afford both. The '97 anime is better over all story wise, but the ending of the last movie is excellent.

Got my free birthday breakfast with a free birthday brekkie restaurant coupon, saw some Canada geese, did some laundry, and was lonely AGAIN.

Went to work, came back, slept, woke up. Gonna go hang out the laundry now.

I also need to organize my kitchen and backup some stuff from my computer, so I guess that's next on the list.

eBay Shopping

Do y'all buy anything on eBay? are you a bidder or a buy it now-er?

I'm trying to find a good deal on a Dyson similar to one my brother has because he says it's the best thing since Betty White, but one listing is bidding, and I hate the autobids that sellers put in to bump up the prices (if you don't want to sell it below a certain cost, then just start the listing at that cost), and one listing that looks mildly sketchy, because what kind of rando with only one feedback (as a buyer) has 10 refurbished Dysons to sell at a price point of $106CAD?

I know eBay has their coverage thing, but I think that's just for stuff not arriving and listings where you get something different than you expected. I'm more worried I'll get a piece of useless vacuum shaped plastic that doesn't work, and the seller says 'no returns' on the listing and it wouldn't be covered by the coverage. :/

My personal faves include "Noi Jitat" from the cartoon Pirates of Dark Water, and when robots in disguise swear by Primus and Mortilus in the Transformers franchise.
