OKAY. SO.

First, I found out that one of the Fandom Trumps Hate auctions I lost (and the one I wanted the most, and the one with the closest loss - I was outbid in the last sixty seconds of the auction)? The winning bidder defaulted! They didn't contact the organisers with proof of their donation within the allotted time, so it went to me! :D :D :D

Then.
THEN.

The other week, my job service agency (the people who are supposed to help me find work, and tell the government I'm looking for work, so the government will keep giving me my unemployment money, and I can keep paying my rent) signed me up for an online course in something I'm actually interested in, and that is relevant to work I want to do.
Yesterday, I went to do some of the course work, and found I couldn't access the course, and it marked me as "Withdrawn".
Today I went into my JSA, and found that the government office in charge of all the social welfare programs, Centrelink, deleted me from their system! Which had the knock-on effect of removing me from the course they'd signed me up for.
Of course, Centrelink didn't bother telling me OR my JSA what they'd done, and now I have to go through all the application process all over again, and by the time I'm done I might not be able to rejoin the course.

So I sort of want to set everything on fire.
Just... everything. In the w o r l d.

Congrats on the story but oh no on being dropped from your course. How long does it take to do the application?

Most of the paperwork is pretty strightforward, and it's just a matter of "drop it into the system and wait", but I'm on the disability support pension, so I have to go to my doctor, convince her that my depression and anxiety are appreciable problems (I no longer have access to the GP who gave me my original paperwork, and that was four years ago), and get her to fill out some paperwork for me to give to my JSA, which they will give to Centrelink, who will probably throw it in a pit and ignore :((((

it's pretty shit

That is very shit. I hope they get their act together and you get to take the course. Government bureaucracy just sucks.
