I love her clothes, but I wouldn't call her a true designer. She's just way too limited. If you freak out over pants, uh ... yeah.

I think she was a really, really good stylist with an eye for patterns, and that should have got her through about half of her first season. Her winning was just ridiculous.

PR has an interesting conundrum of both being about art and being producer led. It could be argued that Anya won for the better story. (Producer reason.) And as a designer myself, I found her evolution throughout the season fascinating.

From a design standpoint, they have to choose the most cohesive and elevated collection. Josh's taste level was suspect and still is. And Victor's collection was... 2 different collections not, one. Her collection from a design standpoint was the MOST cohesive and elevated of the 3. They can only judge from what they are given and of the 3, she deserved her win.

She's a lovely person AND she's studied at Parsons and Central St. Martins. Her aesthetic is very Caribbean and not NY. I found it refreshing. Her showing All Stars was disappointing to me though. Oh well.

All her studying at Parsons and Central St. Martins doesn't change that she's a one trick pony who can drape but flounders as soon as she has to do something else. For that, she should never have gotten to the finals, especially since the judges usually criticise it when a designer does the same thing over and over again.

I just don't get how she won. Remember Rami from season 4 who was a better draper than Anya and yet they called him out multiple times on going back to draping all the time. And he actually could do other things. How did Anya win?
