Gah, agreed and disagreed on so many levels. I still adore the pairing, but I do NOT read fic (aside from the rare occasion and only if it's all-out (well-written!) crackfic or recced by someone I trust to have great taste in fic. When will fandom realise that it's not all hugs and rainbows?! Jack and Ianto are NOT Twu Wuvs who'll be together until Ianto tragically dies and Jack will mourn him for the next five billion years or so. They're not going to have magical arsebabies. (And seriously, Jack's the one who can canonically get pregnant, so why the hell is Ianto the one who keeps getting knocked up?) It's just... not like that! Yes, it can be cute. No, it's not TWU OMG WUV -_-

So yeah, tl;dr - still love the pairing, but only because I REFUSE to read fic. (Ditto for Doctor/Master. It's my OTP to end all OTPs, but it has to be a bloody good fic for me to read it.)
