Middle Earth ftw

If you could live anywhere in Tolkien's Middle Earth where would it be?

Mine would be the Shire.

Eregion. Second Age. Elvish city that is pretty multi-cultural. Has a strong relationship with the nearby dwarves. These are the guys who built the gates of Moria. Also very technological city, at least as close as we get in Middle Earth. This is place the rings were forged. Of course, that's a whole big mess. But still, Eregion interests me the most. I think it would be fun to live there before Sauron shows up.

That actually sounds pretty great. :)

I feel like the Shire is the only place on Middle Earth that would be comfortably inhabitable for a 21st C person.

That said: If I could be a natural citizen of anywhere on Middle Earth, I'd say either Mirkwood or Tom Bombadil's house.

LOL... I'd miss eating meat, though.

Probably Ithilien after Sauron's defeat; it seems like 'the Garden of Gondor' under Faramir and Eowyn's rule would be a lovely place.

Rivendell. I'm gonna camp in the library for life, and if I need to be outside for a while I'll go wander around the woods for a bit with the tra-la-lally elves.

I would say Mirkwood, because it's my favourite place in the whole of Middle Earth, but I'm a) shite at wilderness survival, and b) terrified of spiders. So. Bit of a problem there.

Yeah, Rivendell, 100%

Hell yes to Rivendell!

Mirkwood would also be cool but I don't do spiders.

Rivendell would probably be my second choice. Because library and Elrond and pretty waterfalls.

Oh hands down, the Shire. It's the coziest and the most liveable, IMO.

Agreed. :) Everything about it seems homely.
