[Misfits (Season 2)]

Ugh, this is like my anti-ship. I feel like the actors are both great, it could have been awesome, but the writing is literally that they have this True Love based around that they (sometimes) have good sex. All the scenes that are talked up as Important are skipped (going to Vegas, getting together, her ~*teaching him*~ to make love), they have almost no conversations, and then the end is just: they fuck, she gets fridged and none of her friends care since it's 'romantic' that Simon's going to go back and keep getting them both killed so he can bang her some more in the past. Like, here, she cheats on Curtis, but she doesn't even get to be active about anything with this pairing, it's just Simon tells her to.

I don't remember the particular storyline, but thank you for that shot of Simon's arms. I'd forgotten how hot he was in series 2. And now I'm off to rewatch Misfits. Thanks, OP!

I was shipping him with Nathan.

Same. His adorable little smiles at stuff Nathan says to him later in the season.

SAVE ME, BARRY!

Me, too. TBH, he was way more affectionate towards Nathan than anyone else; and after he spies on the girls in the changing room, I couldn't really take him with either of them seriously as a pairing.

the obvious choice

Given the fact she's a literal rapist, I'd think her hypocrisy started long before she hooked up with Simon... Or Curtis for that matter.
She took advantage of Curtis in the first place. Using her power to take what she wanted. Honestly, I can't remember when Curtis actually 'cheats' on her, so I might be biased? She forced the relationship onto him, to the point he chose her over Sam... (who I imagine the 'cheating' was based off of?)
Her relationship with Simon, I get. She makes a point to say that just watching Curtis wasn't enough. Future Simon can touch her without being influenced by her powers, yada yada ya...
But, honestly, if anyone is guilty it's Simon, since he manipulated the whole thing. The potential the show might of had went so downhill that even a cliff would be jealous. I don't like either relationship, simply because Simon's whole hero gig meant nothing. He went back in time to buy a conveniently placed power for the sole reason to sleep with Ashley. He didn't even try to prevent her death, he just laid the foundation for Curtis to meet someone else, and gave himself the best chance to get his dick wet.
