Have fun idealizing shitty people and toxic relationships

(Anonymous) 2019-03-10 07:49 pm (UTC)(link)
No idea what this is and don't care, but lol if you think shipping something is in any way equivalent to idealizing the relationship

(Anonymous) 2019-03-10 07:52 pm (UTC)(link)
Not always, no.

(Anonymous) 2019-03-10 09:07 pm (UTC)(link)
sorry, this was too rude, I'm grumpy and sick, I apologize

(Anonymous) 2019-03-10 10:15 pm (UTC)(link)
That's okay. I'm aware it's not a good way of thinking and it's not something that I choose to go after in my actual life. It's a guilty pleasure in fiction. Judge away.

if only! most fans woobify the villain beyond all recognition so that they can turn him into a tragic misunderstood cinnamon roll who only needs a hug to go from emo greasy murderer to perfect prince.

(Anonymous) 2019-03-11 12:52 am (UTC)(link)
Not me! I want my villains bad. I mean, if I want cutsie I would go for a hero. But I seem to be in a minority.

(Anonymous) 2019-03-11 01:55 am (UTC)(link)
In this case, it was the show that woobified the villain.

(Anonymous) 2019-03-11 02:46 am (UTC)(link)
I don't think there's anything wrong with that either as long as they know you can't fix murderous inclinations with a hug in real life. Doing it in fiction is just another kind of fantasy.

(Anonymous) 2019-03-11 03:53 am (UTC)(link)
Do people - in general - understand that?

(Anonymous) 2019-03-11 05:04 am (UTC)(link)
NAYRT

I mean, in real life, most people's inclination is to stay the fuck away from criminal elements in the first place.

(Anonymous) 2019-03-11 05:49 am (UTC)(link)
Sometimes. When those criminal elements present themselves as scary, or part of an out-group, or whatever.

(Anonymous) 2019-03-11 07:24 am (UTC)(link)
And that would be the case "in general", wouldn't it? We live in a world where the average person gets nervous when they see a person of a different race rock up wearing a hoodie ffs.

(Anonymous) 2019-03-11 02:59 pm (UTC)(link)
They're nervous about the different race part, not the crime part

(Anonymous) 2019-03-11 02:14 am (UTC)(link)
Maybe OP understands the distinction between fiction and fantasy better than you do?

(Anonymous) 2019-03-10 07:58 pm (UTC)(link)
What is this bc I was thinking "wow, I haven't seen Caddicarus in years, what happened?"

(Anonymous) 2019-03-10 10:12 pm (UTC)(link)
This was The Blacklist.

(Anonymous) 2019-03-10 08:36 pm (UTC)(link)
I don't know what show this is, but I felt that way watching Impulse and wanting Henri and Lucas.

Like, I know he's a bad person, but they just had chemistry, dammit.

I appreciate that that last bit of text is not only positioned so it is nicely readable, but also right over the dick.

(Anonymous) 2019-03-11 08:16 am (UTC)(link)
Thank you for noticing!
