How many fics actually have the dynamic you just described? I'd be way more interested in A/B/O if every fic I saw just didn't use the same old tired gender stereotypes, just with alphas and omegas instead of men and women.

I've read quite a few a/b/o fics that don't cater to the strong alpha/weak omega dynamic.

The exact nature of the dynamic changes from fic to fic. It's usually not "Omega is strong and invulnerable in every way and alpha is weak and vulnerable in every way" (which I wouldn't enjoy anyway), but I've read plenty of fics where the omega is at least as strong and at least as able as the alpha, and the alpha realizes it and respects it. *shrugs*
