lol i don't see this kink very much in my fandoms (thank god) but i can see how you'd be sick of it if you're into any of the popular live action fandoms.

on the other side of things, i can see how people might get bored writing normal buttsex along with the regular boring challenges that come with making it sound realistic. self-lubricating assholes are probably a lot more convenient than having characters stop to pour on more lube from a bottle. sex itself can be pretty tedious to write if you're trying to be remotely realistic about it.
