I had the same problem with a filk/folk singer I used to listen to many years ago. I listened to a lot of Alexander James Adams when he still performed as Heather Alexander and I tried listening to his recordings after he transitioned. And I just couldn't listen to it. His voice was different but he obviously still had the same pronunciations/enunciations/pauses etc. as before and it was basically a massive "Uncanny Valley, voice edition" kind of thing.
