This. IMO, it wasn't even that bizarre. They acted like the privileged rich people they were by lawyering up (a wise move regardless and NOT a sign of suspicion like the cops try to insist it is) and protecting themselves from an incompetent police department who bungled the investigation from day one. Patsy's behavior was strange, but she was also drugged to the gills. There was plenty of tears and mourning.
