173. Agreed! I like being able to really understand the acting--with subtitles, you can get the gist of the line, but not the details. Subtitled live action works, I think, because you can at least see them acting (and badly-matched up dubbing is really distracting).

No, actually, I don't, because I don't know how people I meet on the Internet spend their time. And yes, there are definitely people who don't do any of that--but saying that time spent on fandom is time that could be better spent elsewhere is silly. People have jobs, school, what-have-you, and time to decompress and spend on fun things is necessary. Hobbies and charity work/donations (and donations really don't fit into your argument, as that's not at all time-consuming) shouldn't be mutually exclusive.

I do, however, agree with the sentiment that we should all get out and do something. Just not at the expense of everything else.

XDDD I'm a House fan, too. I watched That 70's Show first, though, and so, when I found out Foreman's first name was "Eric," I found it hilarious. I still tend to forget, though...if they called him "Eric" more often, it would stick.
