Re: Is being against the male gaze sex negative?

"There is porn out there that is equal opportunity and that treats women like human beings."

What do you mean by this exactly? Equal opportunity as it sexualizes both men and women? I doubt straight dudes would be into that. And what's the difference between objectifying porn and non-objectifying porn to you?

In objectifying porn, the entire point is to get the man off. The woman is just there as a prop. Whatever personality and desires she does have are entirely focused on being a male fantasy.

In non-objectifying porn, everyone on screen matters. The camera doesn't just focus on the woman's sexual parts. The people on screen are genuinely enjoying themselves, and everyone involved actually gets off. The hottest porn to me is the stuff where everyone is noisy in real ways and it at least seems like everyone is genuinely enjoying themselves and not just putting on a show for the men watching.

You still seem to be equating sexualizing and objectifying. And I don't think those are the same thing. Someone can be sexual and be seen as attractive without being portrayed as an object and prop who is only there for male pleasure and has no desires of her own outside of that.

So what's hottest to you should be the universal standard? Are pin-up pictures objectifying since it focuses on the sex appeal of the women?

Wow. Okay. You asked for people's opinions. I gave you mine. Pin-ups can be objectifying. it depends.
