LOL That doesn't surprise me at all, seems just like something he would do!

I'd be cool with this. As someone who never read the comics or much MCU fanfic, I've never cared about their friendship enough to care whether they even have a friendship. I find the characters entertaining individually, but have no strong feelings about how they should interact.

Long but not awful. But I got my work schedule for next week and I'm on for six days of 8-hour shifts straight, starting today. Not looking forward to that horseshit. But I do have next Friday and Saturday off.

Yeah, this. They started it back in Avengers 1 with the whole 'clash of personalities' thing, and then just doubled down every movie since to the point that I hate everyone.

I went to the nursery and talked myself out of buying another tea plant by quizzing an employee about what I was doing wrong; the answer is “it’s too hot and dry here,” which explains why I’ve killed two little potted tea bushes and my third is on it’s way out. I just really like the idea of growing my own tea; other camellias do great here, and herb tea isn’t the same. I may end up buying one of the bigger bushes eventually anyway.

Then I left without buying anything and went to the snooty organic grocery store and got some tabouli and sesame tofu and some ingredients for veggie soup, and got caught in the rain coming home. I had a little folding umbrella, but it was really windy so I got pretty wet anyway. Now the sun’s out again.

Yeah I was hoping to see something at least similar to their comic-book relationship in the movies but it... never really got there. They didn't need to be bff's 5eva or anything, but I would have liked them at least liking one another and it just never felt that it ever got further than 'we save the world together sometimes'.

They each have their people and that's fine, but I'm over the movies trying to make me believe they mean all that much to each other or were ever 'leaders' of the Avengers team.

Slightly OT: but the dude kinda looks like Castiel and that confused my brain for a moment.

We had really weird "nicknames" for certain foods growing up and I still don't know how some of them started. A baguette was "cutty bread," cheesy pasta was "taggy cheese" (would have made some sense if we used tagliatelle, we didn't) veggie burgers were "huxleys" and Hobnob biscuits were... "flugelhorns" (why?)

Me too, and I've never even watched Supernatural (only know him from fandom), but did watch Mrs. Maisel. *g*

Well, I didn't think one way or another, but I was really hoping for them to make up in IW and... they didn't. (They weren't even on the same planet!) So I just lowered my expectations and figured I'd better prepare for the worst. But the thought of it still made me sad. That's a breakup going on three years (yes, I realize other things are longer than three years, but the fighting-for-half-the-life-in-the-universe thing kind of makes it all urgent, you know?).

Yes, he did? He apologized even before he was hired by Disney. What do you want him to do? Join a police squad and go after crime?

I didn't find that depressing because I didn't get the sense that the non-Elven characters derived much benefit from that magic in their daily lives and they were going to go on living their lives as before, just without Sauron and a war to worry about. I also can't really empathize with a world losing magic when I've never lived in a world that was magical in that way, and I still get along okay in my non-magic world.

Of all the reasons people voted leave that's the weirdest one yet. Leaving the EU doesn't make it the 50s again. Lol.

Calling spiders centaurs because as a kid I hated even hearing the word and I still use it sometimes now which tends to get confused looks.

Though a guldie of mine says spidlers and I've started using that more since it tends to be less confusing, though still a little odd.

My cat was happy that I woke up extra early to listen to AUSSIE RULES FOOTY!!! Finally the seasons started again, and Carlton almost won... kinda! Go Blues!
