It's my birthday and I feel old. My partner cooked and we watched How To Train Your Dragon 2 and that scene had me in floods of tears. Like I was still sniffling ten minutes later. Then my partner went out for the afternoon to get the car fixed and I did some depressed housework. I haven't cried at a film like that since Coco.

Happy birthday. That part of that movie gets me every time too. Even when I know it is coming, I'm still in tears.

(SPOILERS for How To Train Your Dragon 2)

Thank you! I was completely unprepared for it. I was crying for Toothless more than anything, like, what a messed up thing to do. Looking so lost and confused and Hiccup shouting at him to stay away, just, ugh. It just felt so cruel and put me in a weird funk for hours.

Thank you! And yeah, I was not ready. I don't think I fully absorbed the ten minutes after that because I was just staring and thinking "what, no, they can't do that, no"

I was totally in the same boat, I just skimp over the scene anytime I watch it now;;
