Agree - the race was awesome. I also liked the whole 'avatars changing clothes/hair/etc.' randomly as they walked around - that's so my daughter in a game/world like that.

The only thing I've heard about this movie is that it's miles better than the book, which I can easily believe because the book is a literal dumpster fire of awful.

It's something that I will watch at some point because I imagine the visuals are pretty good and it probably cuts out so much needless, terrible shit from the book.
