For the record I'm okay with gay characters, but it feels ingenuine most of the time and just like needless pandering. Why do you gotta make someone's sexuality their defining trait? If you want to normalize people being gay then don't call attention to it, etc, etc." UUUUUGH.

So, yeah, I completely I agree with you, anon. I'm so sick of every excuse being made why they can be explicitly gay in the author's headcanon but their relationship can't even be defined in the movies. "More than brothers..." Why can't you just call them lovers?? You would never call a straight pairing 'more than siblings.'
