I don't think SJW is a useful term to capture that dynamic, though, because its use is not at all limited to those contexts. Most of the time it's used by people who think that's an accurate description of everyone who cares about social justice at all.

What would you propose as a better term? It works fine with the sj-postive social circles I'm in.

"Extremists"? "Dickheads"? I don't know! I agree it's a problem but I don't think 'SJW' is the answer to it.

Eh, both too vague for me. Until another term pops up that describes "social justice activist, but bad" as well as sjw, I'm gonna use it in circumstances where it works, sorry.
