For me, it just seemed like it was too much of the same emotional note, over and over. But I'm glad it worked for you.

What's your favorite type of media?

(Anonymous) 2019-03-25 10:53 pm (UTC)(link)
live-action, books, comics, podcasts etc

His face is like the opposite of a fivehead

(Anonymous) 2019-03-25 10:54 pm (UTC)(link)
It's cute, but this is one of those "art style makes the characters unrecognizable" things to me

(Anonymous) 2019-03-25 10:55 pm (UTC)(link)
would the opposite of a fivehead be a threehead?

(Anonymous) 2019-03-25 10:56 pm (UTC)(link)
It concerns me, too, but at the same time, I'm a writer who writes dark!fic and you know ... that's not ALL I write.

Call me cautiously optimistic.

If I could only choose one to consume, movies. So much variety without having a big amount of commitment.

I'm a real visual person, so comics and animation really appeal to me. Wish there was more variety though.

Ha, nice image selection OP.

I just wish the writers of the Avengers movies would pay attention to the other movies adn the character arcs therein. Tony had some great growth in his movies, but they just delete it and go back to square one of selfish asshole in the Avengers films.

what I never understood is why so many media aimed at little kids has characters that are teenagers.

(Anonymous) 2019-03-25 11:03 pm (UTC)(link)
I feel like the majority of media featuring adults does not in fact feature them saving the world

(Anonymous) 2019-03-25 11:04 pm (UTC)(link)
That is all the Avengers films. The Avengers films are not for character growth.

Also, Tony sort of reverts for every one of his movies.

Critical Role

Any critters here? I am still trying to play catch-up with campaign one and finding it dragging. I'm currently on ep 65 and have magically avoided most campaign spoilers so far. But between watching the current shows and Life trying to finish this campaign is slow going.

I'm looking for opinions - should I just give up and read a summary of the campaign so I can enjoy the one shots etc? Or are there certain episodes that are more fun/a must see/etc? Or should I just continue my slow crawl and avoiding of spoilers.

Lmao

(Anonymous) 2019-03-25 11:05 pm (UTC)(link)
For more marketability. Kid superheroes are cool to 3-6 years olds. Teen superheroes are cool to 5-12 year olds.

I am just still bitter that Captain America's final movie in his trilogy had half of it dedicated to Tony Stark and his problems that always end up being everyone's problem.

I tend to like different types for different genres. I like my fantasy in books, my scifi in tv shows, my docs/news in podcasts.

I don't think we're going to see a Twi'lek sex scene in their show.

what about teen characters who aren't superheroes but are clearly marketed to little kids (Archie for example)?
