What media/books/fic would you choose to erase from your memory, just so you could have the pleasure of experiencing them for the first time again?

All of Agatha Christie's Marple and Poirot books. All of David Suchet's Poirot and all of Joan Hickson's Marple.

BBC's adaptation of Pride and Prejudice with Jennifer Ehle.

Just for sheer volume of decent reading material : astolat's fics.

'One' by Filter. That song has had me in stitches for almost my entire life and I can't even imagine how I'd react to it now if my memory was erased and I was gifted with the chance to hear it for the first time again.

I’d say Pratchett’s Discworld books, except they were so formative for me that I think I’d be a different person if I forgot them.

Bioshock, NOS4A2, World War Z, The Lion King Broadway, World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King, Band of Brothers.

I mistakenly read 'Wrath of the Lion King' and got very excited for a gruesome parody of the Disney film - was just about to search for it online before my brain corrected itself.

I think that is just any nature documentary.

The LoTR movies and the A:TLA for sure.

Possibly the two Mummy films as well because I can still remember how much I fell in love with them the first time I watched them.

Watching the Lotr movies in cinema for the first time was awesome. So those. Though I'd also probably need some of the enthusiasm of my younger days back as well AND would need a retcon for the books because I read them after the movies and I tend to nitpick much more now.

A lot of RPGs like the Dragon Age games. I often want to play them again but I have never once gotten through them a second time.

Breath of the Wild. The first and second Mass Effects. Most of the Final Fantasies, but mostly VII, VIII, and XV. And I know it's not media, but the chicken rice my wife made last week, because oh my god that was literally the best thing I've ever eaten.

I know this is a very over-thinky kind of answer, but there honestly aren't that many media things I'd want to relive, because I'd be worried that I'd feel differently about them this time around. Like, maybe part of why I love them so much is because of the context in which I saw them the first time. Maybe if I saw them for the first time now, it just wouldn't be the same. And I'd hate to "lose" something I love by erasing all my memories of it in order to experience it new again.

Obviously if it's something I saw really recently, then that's much less of an issue.

Mainly I think there's just a lot of fanfic I'd like to reread for the first time, because in the case of most fanfic I'm pretty sure I'd feel largely the same way about it now as I did before.
