I tried to watch/like this show but gave up like... 2 episodes in.

The first time I tried to watch it (back when it originally came out) I could not get into it at all. Gave up probably 2 eps in too. Then a year or so after (idk, whenever the dvd set first came out) I watched it with friends and for some reason it just clicked. I haven't tried to rewatch lately. I wonder if it'd hold up.

they did the broadcast audience a disservice by airing the episodes out of order (including airing the two-part pilot as the finale???) I was part of a survey group and watched the pilot before it aired and filled out surveys about it and I really enjoyed it so I wrote enthusiastically about it. then I tried to watch it when it aired on fox and I just was stunned by the way they were doing it. it made it seem so disjointed. but then I got the dvds and fell back in love with it.
