Welp, you heard it here, OP. Twilight and 50 Shades officially invented abusive relationships. Before they were published, nobody ever talked about domestic abuse as a serious and way too common problem because back then women only had healthy, safe relationships with men.

Get off fs, E.L James.

(Anonymous) 2019-04-03 03:37 am (UTC)(link)
It's astounding that this is your comeback, as though EL James invented kinky dubcon. You're saying this on a fandom board. Like... are you sure you're in the right place?

(Anonymous) 2019-04-03 07:00 am (UTC)(link)
Nice try, but we know that's you. Go back to writing mediocre fic and stealing other people's intellectual properties, you hack.

(Anonymous) 2019-04-03 12:36 am (UTC)(link)
Ah yes, hyperbole and disregarding people's own personal anecdotes of a piece of media that affected them or other people negatively. That's a surefire way to win an argument.

(Anonymous) 2019-04-03 01:09 am (UTC)(link)
trolololololololololol

(Anonymous) 2019-04-03 01:22 am (UTC)(link)
You're right, lol. And the replies are so hilariously playing into this absurd narrative.

(Anonymous) 2019-04-03 02:31 am (UTC)(link)
Way to reply to yourself, loser.

(Anonymous) 2019-04-03 03:28 am (UTC)(link)
I'm not? But keep on slut shaming women who read 50 Shades and all and denying that anyone finds that problematic, since that's what you're so intent on doing.

(Anonymous) 2019-04-03 02:33 am (UTC)(link)
To quote anon below me, "Exaggerating your opponent's argument to the point of completely misrepresenting it makes your stance look worse than it actually is", which is exactly what you and the parent comment are doing. Not surprised someone who likes 50 Shades would fail so dramatically at reading comprehension and critical thinking though.

(Anonymous) 2019-04-03 03:30 am (UTC)(link)
lmao as though you're making any kind of reasonable assessment of the issue with that desperate-ass last sentence.

(Anonymous) 2019-04-03 07:01 am (UTC)(link)
Well, I am. You're just unable to grasp it because you have a brain that unironically enjoys 50 Shades of Grey. Alas, there's no cure for that.

(Anonymous) 2019-04-03 12:29 pm (UTC)(link)
This may come as a shock to you, but I don't read or have any interest in the books listed by OP. I'm not a fan. I fucking hate het. I only read gay. I'm just capable of letting women read whatever the fuck they want without moral judgment, which probably will come as a shock to you.

Exaggerating your opponent's argument to the point of completely misrepresenting it makes your stance looker than it actually is.
