There's a really big difference between "the relationship between fiction and reality is nuanced, and almost always censorship has dramatic and unavoidable negative effects, so books/fic/whatever with controversial content should not be banned," and "wildly popular cultural phenomena never have negative effects, and the only reason anyone would suggest that they do is because they're snobs with internalized misogyny."
