Yes, anon, criticizing a problematic book series = wanting to burn them and shield all teenagers from books. Apparently we can't even voice an opposing opinion without you and OP writing us off as "oh, you just don't want to be like those other girls!!".

We get it, they get you wet, but Jesus Christ, you are reaching so hard it's laughable.

Accusing and belittling someone for defending something because it "gets them wet" is the most juvenile, vulgar way of doing so and perfectly proves the secret's point.

I haven't read the books. Bondage and vampires aren't my kinks at all. But yeah, actually, the fact that they get other girls wet is a hell of a good reason to defend their existence.

And portraying the opposing side (women who've come forth with anecdotes of how these series have affected them or others they know negatively) as uptight purity police who want to burn all books and protect the teenagers and/or women haters who just want to not be like other girls is better? The original anon is fucking belittling everyone who's saying they don't like these books and exaggerrating to the extreme to portray them as crazy strawmen. That is far more abbhorent. Never mind that all people are doing is criticizing a series, apparently that's not allowed anymore??
