Kings Of Leon's cover of Dancing On My Own is so superior to the original, IMO, that I can't really enjoy the original at all. The overwhelming smolder KOL gives this track just kills me. Also, mad points to them for not changing the pronouns. (If you check it out, be patient with the volume on the vocals; it picks up after 30 seconds or so.)

Alice Kristiansen's cover of American by Lana Del Rey. I almost never like LDR covers, because her own vocal style is so distinctive and very specifically tailored to fit the style of her lyrics. But for some reason this song is the exception.

I prefer the version of Immigrant Song from The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo over every other version I've heard, including the original Led Zeppelin version.
