What..dolls are these.

I thought they were American Girl and that the tiny dolls were just dolls for dolls, not intended to be.....children that they birthed.
("birthed")

Some fans like to make their dolls older. I understand but... why not get a Barbie? Or a Tonner type 16 inch fashion doll and act out your pregnant character fantasies that way? (The AG furniture often fits 16 inch dolls better anyway).

I understand, people play and collect in different ways. But the appeal for me is that the characters are innocent children (it's a recovery thing for me plus I'm infertile but allergic to cats), mine are twelve, and any babies are ones they're baby sitting.

Oh jeez I thought they were supposed to be "looking after little brother/sister", which is bad enough but Y I K E S at pregnant dolls that are supposed to be literal children themselves. Wtf indeed, American Girl Doll fandom.

I thought the same thing when I first saw the picture but then I kept reading and ughhh...

That's what I thought too, which would indeed be appropriate for a lot of those historical characters at those ages. But no, ick!

OK, this is creepy.

they could have at least made the dolls resemble adults instead of 4 year olds.
